The Kalakkodu Service Cooperative Bank Ltd No. 1194 occupies a unique and special status in the history of cooperative sector in Kerala. The deposit mobilization campaign started in the year 1976 has given primary cooperative societies of the state, the power to stand on their feet, without being much dependent on the apex bank for the mobilization of resources. It is a matter of great honour and pride that the state level inauguration of this great campaign had done by the then chief minister of the state, Sri C Achutha Menon in our Bank on 2nd April 1976.
